Am I Good Enough?

Understanding Grace

The Bible clearly addresses our worries about being “good enough”:

• “For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of works, so that no one can boast.” – Ephesians 2:8-9

Grace means we receive forgiveness and eternal life as a free gift, not as something we must earn through good deeds.

The Assurance of Salvation

Salvation is assured through faith in Jesus Christ alone:

• Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sins.

• He rose from the dead three days later, guaranteeing eternal life for all who believe.

We can never earn or deserve salvation. It’s entirely the gift of God’s love.

Living a Life of Gratitude

Although our actions do not save us, our gratitude for God’s gift motivates our good deeds:

• We attend church, volunteer, and give generously—not out of obligation, but out of thankfulness for God’s grace.

Your Simple Step of Faith

To experience this assurance, simply place your trust in Jesus:

• “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.” – Romans 10:9

Pray sincerely, inviting Jesus into your life:

“Lord, come into my life. Forgive me. I’m willing to turn and follow you.”

Rest in God’s Promise

Stop striving to be “good enough.” Rest confidently in the promise of God’s grace and eternal acceptance through faith in Jesus Christ.
