Seniors Ministry

The essential focus of our older adult ministry is given to the assurance that seniors are made to feel loved, appreciated, and remain vital contributors to the body of Christ, to our community, and our nation. We encourage activities that foster spiritual growth, good health, age-appropriate educational pursuits, outreach activities, and wholesome fellowship events. Older adults bring an untapped reservoir of wisdom and experience and are terrific mentors to our younger members. The Legacy Class allows for spiritual growth as we seek to capitalize upon the wisdom and truth garnered from our seniors.

Benefits of The Legacy Class

The Legacy Class provides the following benefits:

1. Spiritually enriching activities including Bible studies, prayer groups, retreats, and special workshop opportunities.
2. Study that involves seniors in discussion groups, interesting educational films, educational forums, and other learning opportunities.
3. Socialization that provides fulfilling and rewarding fellowship (e.g., meals, travel, recreational outings, games days, movies, and field trips).
4. Service opportunities that promote the message that seniors are still useful.
5. Sharing the loss of a loved one through GriefShare.
