Our Ministries at Desert Springs Church

God places a spiritual gifting within every believer. Among the variety of our ministries at Desert Springs Church, you and your family can find a place to use those gifts!

Once you determine which gift or gifts you have, start using them to glorify God. By using your spiritual gifts to volunteer in a ministry or around your church, you are moving the Kingdom of God forward. And that applies no matter how small the job may seem.

If you choose to volunter in one our ministries, there are a wide variety from which to chose. With all of these many ways to get involved, it is a fantastic way to connect with others while serving the Lord. Our church is very missional and encourage you to step into one or more ministry and learn how to Serve Christ by Serving Others.

Men's
Ministry

We desire to strengthen, challenge, encourage, and inspire men to walk humbly with God and His Spirit. As Proverbs 27:17 teaches, "iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another." All men are welcome to join us as we pursue the true life Jesus has for us! We strive to serve Christ by serving others.

Women's Ministry

All women are welcomed with open arms to connect them to God and equip them to live out God’s purpose for their lives. Through small groups, authentic mentoring and outreach opportunities, we seek to ignite passion for the Great Commission in the heart of every woman. Come join us! We are truly better together!

Kids
Ministry

Shine! Kids & Family Ministries, for ages kindergarten - 5th grade, meets every Sunday at 11 am. Engaging worship, fun activities and age-based Bible studies are included. Located upstairs in the Family Ministries building. Kids of all ages are important to God and they're important to us at Desert Springs!

Student
Ministries

Sunday mornings are a great time to hangout and get into God's word. Student Youth (6th-12 grade) are invited to our Contemporary REFRESH worship and then are released to their youth room, “The LOFT,” for a student inspired message with Pastor Collin, or guest speaker from 11:00am – 12:00pm.

Life
Groups

At Desert Springs Church, Life Groups are all about doing life together. We believe that God never meant for us to do life alone. We were created to walk with each other, to grow with one another and to glorify God together. Life Groups meet across the valley each week in homes or at the church.

Seniors
Ministry

"The CLASS" offers a Sunday morning, large-group Bible-study experience for our seniors. Join us upstairs in The LOFT (9:15 - 10:30 AM) for inspiring traditional worship music, coffee, snacks, and an interactive lesson with Pastor Jim Zeilenga. It’s Faith, Fun, Fellowship, and Food every Sunday morning!

Counsel &
Care

Desert Springs Church offers loving, confidential Bible-based counseling for times of struggle, hardship or concern. If you have experienced the loss of a loved one, you will be blessed and strengthened through GriefShare. If you need guidance, strength or help, check out our available no-charge services.

Music & Worship

Worship at Desert Springs includes the musical leadership of Abie Perkins, Worship Director, and the artistry of Michael Gagliardi, Worship Leader in our Refresh service, with Terri Griffin directing our amazing Worship Choir. The praise band members and vocalists round out our worship ministry teams.

Missions & Outreach

Desert Springs Church currently supports both global missions teams and community-based outreach-partners and local ministries. We are an integral part of our community and firmly believe in Serving Christ by Serving Others. Join in as Jesus commanded and "Be the Salt & the Light".

Hospital &
Home Visits

If you, your family or friends are in the hospital, convalescent or nursing facilities or at home and would like a visit, just let us know. Our Desert Springs Care Team would love to visit and pray with you for as long as you need. Just let us know!

Feeding Our
Family

If one of our church families are in need of meals due to illness or family crisis, we have a "Take Them a Meal" team ready to prepare meals and deliver to them. It is a great gift to those going through very difficult times. If you love to cook, what a great ministry!

Helping Hands
Widow Ministry

We have assembled a list of skills that our Widows and Single Moms have indicated they need help in doing. We also have a talented band of handyman that can do them. If you need help, just let us know what you need done and we will put them in touch with you.

Shoulder-To-
Shoulder

The Shoulder-to-Shoulder program can provide a safe environment for men facing difficult times; it is all about Men Helping Men. Whether you are struggling with a life situation, maybe in your walk with the LORD, need some physical help doing something or with transportation or just need someone to talk to, our Shoulder-to-Shoulder ministry is here for you.

White Cross
Sewing Group

What a joy it is to help missionaries throughout the world by cutting and sewing of baby jackets, blankets and diapers, quilts, quilted sitting pads, rolling bandages and cutting of absorbent squares which are given freely to remote health centers and hospitals in the poorest villages. Join the White Cross Sewing group and be blessed more than you can imagine.

Prayer Shawl
Knitters & Chrocheters

This very gifted group of knitters and chrocheters make beautiful prayer shawls to give to the sick or those needing God's comfort. Every completed prayer shawl is prayed over, a small wooden cross is attached and presented to each recipient. Each prayer shawl is covered in God's love.
