The Bible clearly describes what happens after death—and it may surprise you.
Some believe that when we die, we simply cease to exist. But according to Scripture, that’s not true. Our soul—the real us—goes on forever. That’s because, as Genesis tells us, we are made in the image of God. The question isn’t if we live forever, but where.
The Reality of Judgment
The Bible says in Romans 6:23 – “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
This “death” is not only physical—it also refers to eternal separation from God in a place the Bible calls hell.
Jesus spoke about hell often, warning that our choices in this life determine our eternity. And the truth is, all of us have sinned. That means we all deserve God’s judgment.
The Good News of Eternal Life
The amazing truth is that God loves us so much, He made a way for us to be forgiven and have eternal life in heaven instead of eternal separation from Him.
John 3:16 says – “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
Jesus—fully God and fully man—lived a perfect life and died on the cross to pay for our sins. Three days later, He rose from the dead, proving His victory over sin and death.
Why This Matters Now
We only get one life, and none of us knows when it will end. After death, eternity begins—and our destination is fixed forever. That’s why it’s vital to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior while there’s still time.
When you believe in Him, your sins are forgiven, and you are assured of eternal life with God in heaven.
