What is Prayer?

Prayer is simply talking with God. It’s our direct line of communication with the One who created us and loves us deeply.

Why talk with God? There are many reasons:

• To Ask: Bring your requests, needs, and concerns to Him.

• To Thank: Express gratitude for what He’s done for you.

• To Praise: Acknowledge His greatness, power, love, and authority in your life.

While we often come to God with our requests, prayer is so much more—it’s an ongoing relationship.

God’s Invitation to Pray

In the Bible, God says:
“Call unto Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

Prayer isn’t complicated. Speak to Him freely—but also respectfully, lovingly, and sincerely.

Pray at All Times

Ephesians 6 tells us to “pray at all times.” That means:

• There’s never a bad time to pray.

• God is never too busy for you.

• Every worry, fear, or joy can be brought to Him.

When life feels uncertain or hopeless—start praying. Call on the God of the universe, the God of the impossible, and watch what He will do.

The God Who Loves You Is Listening

Prayer is not about fancy words or rituals—it’s about an honest conversation with your loving Heavenly Father. He’s ready to listen and respond.
