Developing A Personal Relationship With God

God Is Not a Concept—He’s the Living Almighty

The Bible says God is the eternal Almighty—He always was, always is, and always will be.

• He created everything.

• He holds it all together by the word of His power.

• He loved us so much that He gave His only Son, Jesus, to die for us so we could be forgiven and have eternal life.

When you accept Jesus by saying, “Lord, forgive me. I believe You’re the Son of God. Come into my life”, He comes in, forgives you completely, and begins helping you live for Him—and forgiving you when you don’t.

Walking With Jesus, Not Shelving Him

Once you receive Jesus, you don’t just “place Him on a shelf.” Instead, you get to walk with Him daily.
The Bible says:

“As you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.” (Colossians 2:6)

A fruitful spiritual life—one that helps others know, follow, and grow in the Lord—comes from abiding in Him.

How to Build That Relationship

• Get into church every weekend for worship and fellowship.

• Read the Bible daily to hear from God.

• Pray throughout your day, talking to Him as you go.

• Remember He’s with you always—in every joy, struggle, and decision.

This is what an abiding relationship looks like—it’s not complicated, but it is intentional. Keep Jesus at the center of your heart and mind, and watch your faith grow.
