How Suffering Prepares us to Comfort Others?
How Suffering Prepares Us: Turning Pain into Purpose
You may be asking, “Why am I going through this hard experience?” If that’s where you are right now, I want you to know two things:
Keep looking to God—don’t turn away from Him.
Ask others to pray for you! However, it is important that you stay in God’s Word and keep worshiping Him, even in the pain.
God gave His Son, Jesus, so we could be forgiven. Through Him, we avoid eternal suffering. But while we’re still here on earth, God can use our hardships to help others.
How Suffering Prepares Us to Help Others
Have you faced addiction? If so, you can help others find victory in Christ. Use the same strength God gave you to lead the way.
If you’ve lost someone you love, you can walk alongside others in grief and help them find hope. If you’ve gone through a broken relationship, you can encourage others going through that kind of heartbreak.
Therefore, ask the Lord, “How can I turn this around for You?”
God’s Promise in the Pain
Psalm 30:5 reminds us:
“Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning.”
As God brings healing into your life, you can share that hope with others who are hurting. Pray with them. Encourage them. Let your testimony of God’s faithfulness be the light they need.
