• Commissioned by our founding pastor, Pastor Kevin Springer.

• Created by an esteemed artist, a professor from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California.

• Fabricated on-site, right here at Desert Springs Church, making it truly one-of-a-kind.

Meaning and Symbolism

• Ceramic Main Body: Symbolizes the strength and permanence of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice.

• Ceramic Spiked Bands: Remind us of the suffering Jesus endured on our behalf.

• White PVC Sheeting: Represents the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, surrounding and empowering the message of the cross.

In approximately 2015, additional features were thoughtfully added to further highlight the cross:

• Artificial Stonework: Inspired by the distinctive stonework seen at Ben Gurion Airport in Israel, providing a direct visual connection to the Holy Land.

• Basket Potted Plants: Eucalyptus and olive trees placed at the base of the cross represent the natural beauty and historical significance of Israel, the land that Jesus deeply loved.
