Who Does God Love?

The Answer from the Bible: Everyone

Does God only love the most needy? The poorest? Does He only care for certain nations—like the Jewish people in Israel—or those living on the American continent?

The Bible gives us a crystal-clear answer in John 3:16–17:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.”

God’s Love Is for All

The truth from God’s Word is simple yet profound—God loves everyone. His love is so great that He gave His only Son, Jesus, to die for us so we could be forgiven and have eternal life with Him.

In 1 Timothy 2:4 we read:

“God desires all to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”

That truth is this: Jesus is the Son of God, the Savior of the world. By believing in Him, you can have eternal life in His name.

No Exceptions to God’s Love

It doesn’t matter your nationality, your background, your wealth, or your social status. It doesn’t matter where you’ve come from, what you’ve done, or even what you’ve failed to do—God loves you.
