The Bible And Cremation

What Does Scripture Say About It?

Our Hope Beyond This Life

2 Corinthians 5:8 reminds us:
“We are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.”
For believers in Jesus, the moment we die, we are immediately in His presence. There is no waiting period—our soul is with the Lord instantly.

The Body vs. The Soul

Our physical body is simply an earthly shell that houses our soul while we live on earth. At death, the soul departs to be with the Lord—what happens to the shell is secondary.

Cremation or Burial?

The Bible does not forbid cremation. Whether cremated or buried, it does not affect your eternal destiny. What matters most is your relationship with Jesus.

The Key Question

Have you invited Jesus into your life by faith? If yes, you have the promise of eternal life in heaven with Him. If not, today is the day to trust Him for your salvation.
