Have you ever been angry, upset, or really mad at God? It can happen when we believe in Him but then face life’s uncertainties, pains, problems—and especially its tragedies. In those moments, it’s easy to start tracing the blame back to God.
We might find ourselves saying:
“God, if You were so loving, why did You let this happen?”
“God, how could You do this to me?”
“God, why would You allow this to occur?”
In Psalm 46:10, we read:
“Be still and know that I am God.”
Let that sink in. God is in charge—and we’re not. We may not like the way things are going, but that doesn’t change the truth that God loves you with an everlasting love.
The answer isn’t to come to God shaking our fist and demanding our rights—it’s to come to His Son, Jesus, and ask for His forgiveness. He died in our place on the cross, proving His love for us beyond any doubt.
When we choose to trust Him, even in the worst of times, we can begin to sense the comfort of the Holy Spirit and find peace that passes understanding.
Lord Jesus, please be near to the one who is angry or upset right now. Give them the ability to trust You even when life doesn’t make sense. Help them depend on You through Your Son, Jesus, and feel the comfort of the Holy Spirit as they hand their pain over to You. Amen.
God bless you as you trust the Lord in the hardest of times.
