At Desert Springs Church, Life Groups consists of 8 to 14 people. The group typically gathers weekly in the Life Group leader’s home or in a designated room at the church building. The group may be led by a pastor or lay leader. At their core, Life Groups are a small Christian community that may be less intimidating to newcomers and those interested in finding out more about God and His Son Jesus.
When you attend a Life Group, you can expect a warm time of fellowship, refreshments, Bible study, personal concerns, involvement in the local community, and prayer. The purpose of the group is to help members grow in their faith and build relationships with other believers through Bible study, prayer, worship, fellowship, and service projects. Long-term trust and relationships are nurtured, and loving support and accountability as followers of Jesus are cultivated on an ongoing basis.

No, you do not need to be a member of Desert Springs Church to join a group. Life Groups are open to anyone in the Palm Desert area looking for community and spiritual growth.
That is perfectly fine! Our groups are designed to be welcoming environments for everyone, regardless of their background or current knowledge level. It is a great place to ask questions and learn together.
Most groups meet weekly for about an hour and a half, though this can vary depending on the specific group’s schedule and the study material they are covering.
Childcare availability varies by group, as many meet in private homes. Please indicate if you require childcare when filling out our sign-up form, and we will do our best to help you find a suitable match.
