The Wise Man – Learning Never Ends
The book of Proverbs reminds us that wisdom isn’t simply about knowing more—it’s about learning to live well. A wise man remains teachable, listens before he speaks, welcomes wise counsel, and continues growing throughout every season of life.
This week we’ll discover that a wise man never stops learning because he knows God still has something to teach him.
Our discussion will be filled with practical wisdom and life experiences as we learn from one another. We’ll share the lessons that have shaped our lives, the people who have influenced us, and the truths we wish we had learned much earlier.
Please read and reflect on these Proverbs before we gather:
* Proverbs 1:5–6 — A wise man listens, continues learning, and gains understanding.
* Proverbs 11:2 — Humility and wisdom go hand in hand.
* Proverbs 12:15 — The wise are willing to listen to advice.
* Proverbs 18:15 — A discerning heart continually seeks knowledge.
As you prepare for our discussion, take a few moments to think about these questions:
* Who is someone you’ve learned a great deal from, and what made them wise?
* What’s one lesson you’ve learned from someone younger than you?
* Have you ever ignored good advice and later wished you hadn’t?
* What’s something God has taught you in the last few years?
