At Desert Springs Church, Life Groups consists of 8 to 14 people. The group typically gathers weekly in the Life Group leader’s home or in a designated room at the church building. The group may be led by a pastor or lay leader. At their core, Life Groups are a small Christian community that may be less intimidating to newcomers and those interested in finding out more about God and His Son Jesus.
When you attend a Life Group, you can expect a warm time of fellowship, refreshments, Bible study, personal concerns, involvement in the local community, and prayer. The purpose of the group is to help members grow in their faith and build relationships with other believers. Activities may include Bible study, prayer, worship, fellowship, and service projects. Long-term trust and relationships are nurtured, and loving support and accountability as followers of Jesus are cultivated on an ongoing basis.
