Here, you will find all the information you need to know about what to expect when you come to our church. Chances are on any typical Sunday, there will be many other newcomers just like you. Sunday Morning Worship Times and Location

Our church campus is located at 43435 Monterey Ave., Palm Desert, CA
(between Country Club and Fred Waring, across from College of the Desert)

Parking

Parking is available on all sides of the church building. Overflow parking is available in the rear in the KMIR parking lot.

Entering the Building

Enter the building through either the North or South side of the building. Upon entering you will be greeted by one of our Connecting Team. Simply indicate you are visiting and they will guide you to the Connecting Place a special Welcome Gift.

What About My Kids?

Children's and Youth Ministries

Where do my kids go?

Look for the building that says Family Ministries near the south entrance of the church. Enter the building. And you will be at our check in booth for children. Our check-in assistant will register your children for the program. This will take a few minutes, so be sure to allow a little time.

Why do I have to register my kids?

We take the safety and security of your children seriously. All our ministry volunteers have been screened and background checked for safety. Be aware that we have cameras in all kids’ ministry areas and always follow the 2 adults’ rules. No one is ever alone with a child. By checking your child in and out of our SHINE KIDS & Family Ministry you can experience the main worship service worry-free.

Can't I just take my kids into the service with me?

At Desert Springs our children’s ministry is much more than “childcare”. We intentionally structure our children’s ministry to help children get to know God and learn the Bible and how it relates to Jesus in an age-appropriate way. The lessons are fun and approachable and taught by committed volunteers and staff who serve Jesus by serving you and your kids. Trust us, your kids will love it and learn a lot!

Our children’s ministry has age-appropriate environments as follows:

Ages 3 and under
Age 4-5 years
Kindergarten-2nd grades
3rd-5th grades

Plan Your Visit - Types of Worship

What's Our Classic Worship Like?

The Classic Worship begins with the DSC Worship Team leading us in music, singing a mix of contemporary choruses and great classic hymns. The lyrics are shown on large screens so everyone can sing along. Our Worship Choir sings twice monthly throughout the season. Worship is a way of expressing our love for God and appreciation for what He has done for us.
Following worship, a few announcements will be made for upcoming events and activities.
The weekly offering is then taken for those who call Desert Springs their church. As our guest, you’re not expected to donate, that decision is up to you. We are blessed with many opportunities to serve the needs of our community, and through the generosity of our church members, we can meet those needs. You are welcome to join in God’s work at Desert Springs as you feel you’re ready.
Pastor will then present a message that is Bible-based and explained in a way that everyone will understand. Our goal is that you will be able to apply God’s Word to your daily life and know, grow and go with Jesus.
On the first Sunday of the month, we celebrate communion together. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you are welcome to join us. Throughout the year we have scheduled water baptism services.
The typical service will last 1 hour.

What's Our Contemporary Worship Like?

The Contemporary “REFRESH” Worship service is casual setting, sitting around tables in the Family Room, sharing coffee and refreshments. This is a great way to meet others!
The REFRESH Worship Band will begin by leading worship, singing current Christian music. The lyrics are on large screens so everyone can join in.
Following a few announcements, an offering is taken. As a guest, you’re not expected to donate, that decision is up to you.
Pastor’s LIVE message is then streamed from the Classic Worship and projected on a large screen. Always practical, relevant and pertinent to your daily life.
As in our CLASSIC Worship, Communion is celebrated once a month.
The typical service will last 1 hour.

One of the things that our church is known for is our community of families that connect with each other and serve Christ by serving others. Pastor Mark has an exceptional gift of taking what may seem like complicated topics in the Bible and explaining them in ways that we can all understand and apply in our daily lives.

We are just imperfect people, trying to love a perfect God. Our goal is for everyone at Desert Springs Church to feel comfortable and confident in their ability to read and understand the Bible. If you don’t own a Bible, we’d love to give you one. Please stop by the Connecting Place and ask for one at no charge.

Plan Your Visit - About Our Music

All Classic and Contemporary worship services feature gifted singers and musicians with guitars, drums, keyboards. Classic worship plays traditional music with new arrangements and shares time monthly with the Choir. Contemporary worship plays current Christian tunes with upbeat arrangements. Lyrics are displayed on large screens in all services.
